Basic Liability Insurance (BLI) – $15 Per Day: 

All Alaska Motorcycle Adventures rentals are covered with state and country mandated liability insurance. All Alaska Motorcycle Adventures rentals are charged a mandatory $15 USD a day Basic Liability Insurance (BLI). This is required for the motorcycle to legally be on the road and is required regardless of any private motorcycle insurance held by the renter. The Basic Liability Insurance (BLI) limits the financial liability to the renter regarding damage or theft of the motorcycle to only the first $5,000 USD. 

 

 

Liability:  $50,000/$100,000/$25,000

Covers third-party medical expenses ($50,000 per person, $100,000 per accident) and damage to other property ($25,000) the authorized driver (rentee or lessee) is responsible for after an at-fault accident.

 

Medical Payments:  $500

Covers medical expenses for injured authorized drivers and passengers regardless of who is at fault.

 

Comprehensive Deductible/Excess:  $5,000

Covers damages to a scheduled vehicle caused by incidents other than a collision including theft, fire, vandalism and weather.

 

Collision Deductible/Excess:  $5,000

Covers damages to a scheduled vehicle caused by an accident with another vehicle or any object, whether stationary or moving.

 

 

Optional Supplemental Liability Coverage

Supplemental Liability Insurance (SLI) – $12.95 Per Day Additional:

SLI is available for renters if they would like higher liability limits for an additional $12.95 a day. SLI is excess liability insurance that protects the renter, as defined in the rental agreement, against third party automobile claims for bodily injury and property damage caused during permitted use of the rental vehicle. SLI may provide excess coverage for the difference between the underlying insurance (see above) and $300,000. The $300,000 limit includes a $10,000 property damage limit for 3rd parties. The SLI policy limits are in excess of any/all valid and collectible underlying insurance.
